Female Infertility :

Female infertility can prevent couples from achieving their dream of parenthood. Female infertility is the inability to conceive after age 35. This is despite having regular, unprotected intercourse. As medical science has advanced, couples have several options to pursue parenthood. The first step is to identify the causes of female infertility. Then, consult an experienced IVF doctor.

Pratham IVF has treated many patients worldwide. We have a deep understanding of female infertility.

Symptoms of Female infertility (besides the inability to become pregnant) :
  • Irregular menstrual cycle
  • Severe pain during menstruation
  • Some hormonal fluctuations, causing skin issues, facial hair growth, and obesity.
  • Pain during sex

If you see any of these symptoms from a young age, consult a doctor as soon as possible.

Causes of Female Infertility :

Ovulation Disorders: An egg disorder is a major cause of infertility in women. Ovulation disorders can cause irregular or absent ovulation. They have several causes.

  • Hormonal Imbalance
  • Ovarian Insufficiency
  • Over-production of prolactin

Endometriosis: This condition occurs when uterine tissue grows outside the uterus. Such tissue, or a procedure for its removal, can lead to the blockage of fallopian tubes. Also, this condition can prevent the fertilized egg from implanting. This can cause infertility.

Fallopian Tube Blockage: Fallopian tubes are important to a woman's reproductive system. They transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. If these tubes get damaged or blocked, they can prevent egg fertilization. Reasons for such damage could be:

  • Pelvic inflammation
  • Surgery involving your abdomen or pelvis.
  • Pelvic tuberculosis

Uterine Malformation: A malformed uterus can cause infertility. Doctors must examine it. It is a leading cause of female infertility.

  • Polyps or benign tumors can block fallopian tubes. Furthermore, such tumors may interfere with implantation, affecting your fertility.
  • Several anatomical anomalies of the uterus could also be responsible for infertility.

Repeated Miscarriages: They are a condition of two or more miscarriages. Many women have miscarriages. But repeated miscarriages may mean infertility. They should consult a specialist to find the cause.
Miscarriages can stem from:

  • Uterine conditions
  • Metabolic causes
  • Environmental factors
  • Infections
  • Hormonal disorders
  • Clotting disorders

Irregular Periods: Irregular periods are common and don't always affect fertility. But some hormonal imbalances can cause irregular periods. They may underlie female infertility. If you have irregular periods, consult a doctor for a solution.
